In April 2023 I copy-edited and proofread an article for a client of Cambridge Proofreading & Editing LLC on sustainable conservation practices in libraries in Asia.
The subject matter was very interesting but the author was a non-native speaker of English and the language required editing for grammar, style, clarity and tone. The work included references, and I formatted these as requested following the Chicago Manual of Style author-date system. The word count for this article was around 5,500 words and the turnaround time was 2 days.
The article was provided as a Microsoft Word document and I edited it using Track Changes.
